About Me
Shannon Marie
Coach and Founder
As a certified dog trainer in Central Florida with a heart for sensitive dogs, I'm particularly well-versed in reactivity, overarousal, and fear-based behaviors. I find the study and practice of canine behavior fascinating and use it as a foundation in coaching and training.
I value continued education, and recently added a specialized certification in Predation Substitute Training to my repertoire. The squirrels in my neighborhood are very grateful!
Early in my studies, I spent most of my time at the local shelter and rescues learning the ins and outs of that community with dogs who will melt your heart, in situations that will break your heart.
Through this experience, and with my own rescue and foster dogs, I learned how misunderstood dogs can be in general, and how difficult and misunderstood the stage of canine adolescence can be especially.
It is often at this age, between the ages of 1 and 3, that dogs are surrendered, and the saddest part is, that for most of them, this only makes matters worse. Unfortunately, many of these cases don't end happily ever after.
I would like to do my small part to address this community crisis; a main motivation in becoming a certified dog trainer.
I strive to help pup parents create a lifestyle and home environment that suits them and their dogs-that sets them up for success-so that they can live their best lives together.
It is a core value, as we work towards this goal, to prioritize my clients relationships with their dogs, and the emotional and physical well-being of both, by using training methods, tools, and frameworks that achieve desirable results without the use of pain, fear, and intimidation.
I live in Central Florida with my husband and two rescue dogs who enrich my life, keep me on my toes, and have taught me as much about me as they have themselves: Banner, a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, who we adopted at 8-weeks old, and Freya, a Belgian Malinois mix, who we adopted from the local shelter at 1 year old.

Pawparenting Fundamentals
Peaceful home strategies for you and your dog. We'll explore enrichment, safety, resilience, activity/rest dynamics, and body language as it pertains to your dog's individuality to create a manageable lifestyle plan for you both.
Designed for new or seasoned dog guardians. Foundation for all packages.

Predation Substitute Training
Better understand the natural predation instincts of your dog and how to harness them in the face of wildlife. Become your dog's non-lethal "hunting" partner with tailored games and strategies designed to keep you, your dog, and wildlife safe.

Addressing Reactivity
Reactivity can be so difficult for dogs and humans alike. It can turn walks that you both enjoyed, or had dreams of enjoying, into walks you dread.
Together, we'll design a unique plan for enjoying active time with your dog in a safe and fulfilling way as we explore solutions towards creating more secure, confident, and calm walks together.
